soon and multiply

Just fell upon an economic principle

value creating acitons should be done sooner rather than later.

Another obvious idea is to multiply. If something is good do as much of it as possible (i.e. If you fell upon a great mood for reading and the reading goes perfectly, ignore any other activity appointment etc. Enjoy the momentum to its maximum)

These two principles are much neglected. We are taught about balance, and not to eat like a pig, etc. All of which is utterly nonsense. If something 9is really good eat like a pig in the size of an elephant. And soon.

You never lose from being richer. In any aspect.

I wonder if be in flow with out care can lead us to dead or blow up in something.I think we have to know when to tunnel is safe and when it's not.And another example is staring at a woman and her legs with out care of her husband. Lol:)

I think there's something to be said for moderation. But it's also nice to do things with abandon once in a while.

Moderation has many virtues. But many times it is irrational.

I agree about having moderation in mind. But in many situations the reasons for moderation are irelevant, and you better go aggressively for the gold.

I couldn't agree anymore, this post is the worst I ever seen, and this is the root of all kinds of problems, the comodization and lack of rigor in life brings what you don't know the surprise. Bye.

I'd agree with Yechezkel that we should seize momentums when they present themselves. Now if they present themselves too frequently this can be a problem and seizing momentums in moderation might again be the better way to go.
One distinction I'd also make is that I see this working primarily with activities where we are actively mentally involved. On the other hand this would hardly be sound advice for overindulging with foods.

We need rules in everything after mistakes, otherwise we would face the mistakes with out consciousness, seems that nature conspires against our will all the time.

very human to do mistakes. And Part of the idea of living is observing mistakes and moving on, without taking it too seriously.

The idea that nature is against our will, is partly because we have multiple wants etc. Part of the solution is to have a more balanced psych, where we know better what we want and somehow find ourselves doing it without effort or inner fight.

But this is kind of nice advice. It is sometimes good to fight and self control etc. But better still finding ways to manage oneself without effort. Be smart instead of effortful.

I'm somehow sympathetic to the topic of the post: it's better to do what you enjoy - now, without (much) respect for "what one should do" (quite punkish)...

but I agree with some of the critical posts, too, because the "vibes" of the post are "need and greed": seeing this context "soon and multiply" is not at all neglected, but overvalued and used in -sometimes desastrously - wrong ways
